The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Popular Culture and World Politics’ and will focus the ways in which popular culture and new forms of media influence politics and political opinions today. The conference will include the following;

George’s speech will address the idea that modern day politics does not meet the requirements of the general public, and discuss how we ought to conduct politics differently. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A after his speech.

Benjamin Zand

Film-making and Journalism Workshop

 2Award-winning television presenter and film-maker for the BBC.

Workshop Title: ‘Getting ahead of the game – How to be a one-person journalism machine’

Disaster Relief Volunteer and Photographer

Disaster relief volunteer who provided assistance to United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in running the largest refugee transit camp in crisis hotspot of Lesvos, Greece. She also served as a rescue diver securing landings of the refugee boats crossing the Aegean Sea.
