The deadly virus which has ravaged Western Africa, has arrived in Texas, Dallas as an unnamed man was diagnosed with Ebola after returning from a trip in LIberia. Barack Obama, has already declared the infectious disease has a ‘National Security’ threat to the the homeland as officials attempt to contain its spread and figure out how the virus entered the country .

Brazilian markets fear Rousseff’s economic policies ahead of National elections.

With no new cases having been reported in a month and all Ebola viticims now being treated, Nigeria is showing regional leadership in making steps towards containing the disease in Western Africa.

Although we at The London Globalist are always slightly sceptical when are country officially ‘recalculates’ its national economic figures. The World Bank is now set to see Kenya as a ‘middle income economy , as new estimations suggests the country is 25% larger than previously realised.

Grace Mugabe: Awarded a PHD and now taken to court by Student Union.
The wife of the Zimbabwe leader Robert Mugabe was earlier this month awarded a doctorate of Philosophy degree from the University of Zimbabwe- an achievement she earned on a fast tracked time scale. Now, students from the University are expected to file a complaint to the High Court of the land, asking the University justify why the doctorate was awarded in a bid to protect both the image and the prestige of the University

Israel’s National Airline, El Al, urged to stop onboard bullying of women
Ultra-orthodox passengers on the El Al airline have ben criticised for disrupting flights by refusing to sit next to woman on international flights. A petition movement has been signed to ensure the airline will make moves to ‘stop the bullying and discrimination’ against woman who choose to fly.

UK RAF flights destroy its first targets in Iraq
Royal Air Force troops have officially destroyed its first ‘armoured truck’ in Iraq with the aid of Kurdish militia in the new military intervention in the region. This comes after David Cameron last week gained support of the British Parliament to join the international coalition in the fight against the Islamic State.
