US Mid-Terms: Republicans gain control of the Senate
As the final results are still be counted in the US mid-term elections, what can be confirmed is that the US Republican Party has gained control of the Senate. The party won in Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Montana, North Carolina, South Dakota and West Virginia. And in doing so, will make the job of Barack Obama to leave his presidential legacy increasingly difficult.

Venezuela’s minimum wage to be raised
“Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says he will increase the minimum wage by 15% starting in December. The raise, the third this year, comes amid an annual inflation rate of 63.4%. Mr Maduro said the measure and other benefits meant workers would be better off despite the inflation, which he blamed on an “economic war” the opposition were waging against him..”

Argentine ambassador: ‘Jeremy Clarkson is an embarrassment to the British people’
The Argentine ambassador to the UK has criticised the provocative behaviour of Jeremy Clarkson during the filming of BBC ‘Top Gear’ in the southern part of the country last month. Australia has pledged $20 million for Sierra Leone treatment centre
“Australia will provide $20m for a private medical company to operate a UK-built treatment centre in Sierra Leone, following persistent calls for the country provide practical help to contain the Ebola outbreak in west Africa.Tony Abbott said some of the 240 staff required to run the 100-bed centre were likely to be Australian “paid volunteers” – but the government would not compel anyone to perform this work…”
