You are encouraged to apply for our membership to support us. Membership can be purchased here for £3. The fee goes towards paying for the URL hosting service which keeps the website online. If you are not an LSE student let us know and we can arrange an alternative payment method.

We welcome submissions from undergraduate and postgraduate students from LSE or other institutions, academics, practitioners, and anyone interested in writing for us. However, only LSE students are eligible for permanent Correspondent and Editorial Board roles. Correspondent and Section Editor positions open for application in autumn 2022.

Style guidelines for our online articles:

Failure to follow these guidelines will result in your submission being archived without response. We reserve the right to edit all submissions prior to publication, though authors will be contacted regarding any major changes.

Length and format

The articles should be approximately between 800 and 1,500 words. However, we are happy to consider articles beyond the length limit if appropriate.

Please use 12-point Times New Roman font and double line spacing.

Microsoft Word Documents (.doc/.docx) are strongly preferred.

Writing Style, Punctuation, Grammar, and Spelling

American and British English are both accepted as long as they are used consistently within the article.

We encourage the use of Oxford comma.

Please avoid using jargon, acronyms and academic terms, unless you have explained the term and the context.

Go straight ahead and mention your main argument or finding in the beginning of your article.

Keep the paragraphs short.

You are welcome to use graphs and charts to support your analysis. Do not quote too many figures or numbers.

Citations

We use links rather than citations for references for our online articles.

No plagiarism is tolerated.

Images

Please pick a picture that best fits your article. This featured image will be the thumbnail for your article and will be shown on our website and social media sites.
You are welcome to include pictures, diagrams, and graphics in your article. However, for all pictures that you use, attribution is required. Please include the hyperlinked URL of the pictures (including the featured image) you use and the relevant information required. The author is responsible for any copyright issues with the photos.

Title

Please include a title for your article.

Author Biography and Photo

You are welcome to include a short biography and your photo in your article.

Points to Note

We will not accept submissions that advocate for discrimination and discriminatory acts against any individuals or groups of people.

Submissions must be previously unpublished and original.

Author
